3x1 GB DDR-400 in AMD Athlon XP, 2400+

    Hi Leute ich habe probleme mit meinen pc
    habe mir 3xTranscend DIMM 1 GB DDR-400 (JM388D643A-5L) gekauft fur mein:
    AMD Athlon XP, 2400+ getaket auf 2800+
    MSI KT4V (MS-6712)


    und wenn ich jetzt 3x 1GB RAM einbaue fährt er erst garn nicht hoch

    und wenn ich jetzt 2x 1GB RAM einbaue sturzt er 4-5x am tag ab

    Was kann ich machen das ich alle 3 am besten gehen??Oder was kann ich machen das er nicht immer mit 2 absturzt??

    stelle den Original Takt der CPU ein, Bios abspeichern. Wenn Du noch die RAM übertaktet hast, dann stelle diese auch zurück auf Original Takt, und Original Spannung. Bau die 3 Riegel rein, dann sollten sie laufen.

    danke vielmals gerade eben gemacht aber er will immer noch net mit 3 hoch fahren. habe mal 2 drin und hoffe der sturtzt net ab. mein alter arbeitsspeicher ist ein MDT DDR1024 pc 400 CL 2,5
    die neue sind aber CL3 kann des was damit zu tun haben??

    sollte kein Problem sein für den Chipsatz die Riegel mit richtigen Timings (CL2,5, etc) zu takten, um es zu sehen, dann mit den 2 neuen Riegel gleich mit CPU-Z (in dem vorletzten Post erwähnt) das Register dumps anhängen.

    starte den PC ins Bios und schaue nach ob die 2GB DDR1-400 erkennt. Leider hat es kein Bios update betreffend Memory Verbesserungen, zumind. steht leider nichts. Gibt das Bios die 2GB DDR1-400 od 1GB DDR1-400 nicht an, dann mache mal einige Fotos von Deinem Bios, vorallem wo man die RAM einstellen kann.

    DDR1-400 sind problematische Module für den chipsatz wie oben im Zitat erwännt.

    Im Handbuch mal über Bios zu lesen, wäre eine Idee

    wenn man den PC startet, ob ins Bios od Betriebssystem (was ja mit den 2x1GB nicht geht) steht oft die RAM Grösse, wenn nicht od zu schnell vorbei geht, dann ist die RAM Grösse im Bios unter Standard CMOS Feature zu finden, mit Pfeiltaste nach unten Klicken bis Memory Anzahl in KB siehst.

    Wieviel KB steht?

    Mit ESC kannst Du raus, dann wird noch gefragt, ob Du die Aenderung od eben keine Aenderung (die Du ausgeführt hast) abspeichern willst und danach das Bios verlassen, da drückst Du in Deinem Fall auf N und Enter, danach startet der PC ins Betriebssystem.

    wenn man den PC startet, ob ins Bios od Betriebssystem (was ja mit den 2x1GB nicht geht) steht oft die RAM Grösse, wenn nicht od zu schnell vorbei geht, dann ist die RAM Grösse im Bios unter Standard CMOS Feature zu finden, mit Pfeiltaste nach unten Klicken bis Memory Anzahl in KB siehst.

    sag mal nix, ein beschnittenes Bios.
    Du kannst mal in jedes Feature im Bios reingehen, und alles absuchen, ob irgendwo den RAM (memory) anzeigt. Ich nehme es nicht an.
    Beim Start (POST = Power-on-self-test ) des PC wird Dir dort nicht die RAM angezeigt?

    Ich muss zurück kommen auf den Link, den ich postete
    die DDR1-400 sind halt problematisch.
    schaue Dir dies nochmals an, gehe es durch und entscheide Dich
    ob Du DDR1-266 od DDR1-333 nehmen willst.

    habe schon 2x uberall im bios geschaut leider nix zu finden:heul:
    wenn ich ein bios-uptade mache konnte es dann auftauchen??
    muss erst wieder etwas sparen fur neue arbeitsspeicher und dann hoffe ich die gehen dann ohne probleme;)

    versuche die RAM zu verkaufen über ebay od ricardo
    das Bios Update bringt keine neue Einstellmöglichkeiten

    Du könntest das Bios auf Disc abspeichern, danach
    ein Bios Update machen, vllt hast Du soviel Glück
    dass dann die Riegel laufen.

    Ich nehme es nicht an, da, wie schon gepostet, keine Infos bei den Updates stehen betr. Memory compatibility od sonstiges betr Memory, dass es gehen sollte.

    Hmmm ist wohl das beste, denn noch möchte ich es mit dem update versuchen,kannst du mir da unter die arme greifen, denn ich habe schon oft gelesen das leute den pc daturch geschrottet haben...

    wenn ja, zuerst lade Dir das Handbuch runter

    gehe über Advanced Chipsetz Features rein (mit Enter)
    dann kommt dies

    Enter drücken, dann kommt

    sind es die gleichen Einstellungen in Deinem Bios?
    wenn ja, dann i.O.
    wenn nein, dann schreibe mir alles auf.

    ist das Bios für die RAM Taktung so eingestellt wie auf dem 2. Bild

    wiederhole ich mich,"es steht nirgends, dass es die Kompatibilität der RAM verbessert."
